  1. Hi Scott,
Met your dad several weeks ago and had coffee again as late as yesterday with him and my wife Barbara at Peet’s Coffee and Tea. A new shop, it is located just beyond Prospect Rd at DeAnza Blvd entering Saratoga.

We have had an enjoyable time chewing over Ham Radio and will try to communicate on 2 meters as soon as he figures how to operate his Heathkit he recently acquired.
73 and hope to met you when next in the area!

  2. Ray – thanks for the post! Glad to hear you guys are enjoying some ham radio fellowship.

Hopefully you can provide some motivation for my dad to become a bit more comfortable with his Radio Shack HTX-212. It is a solid rig and I like the fact that it doesn’t have too many bells and whistles… simple and dependable.

    73 Scott
